Mossgate Buildings: Modular 16x16 Pixel Houses & Village Architecture

Mossgate Buildings is a modular pixel-art architecture pack built as a companion to Mossgate Ruins. It uses the same 32-color Mossgate palette and 16px grid, so houses sit directly on Ruins terrain. It also works on its own.

Included

- 108 construction modules at 16x16: walls, corners, roofs, doors, windows and chimneys in shared material sets. These are coordinated variants, not 108 unrelated designs.

- 12 finished buildings on transparent 128px canvases, including ruined versions.

- 24 architectural props and state variants.

- recipes.json: the module layout for each of the 12 buildings, so you can rebuild them or design your own.

- PNG atlases and individual PNGs, a JSON manifest, palette files, preview images, README, quick-start PDF, license and editable Python source.

Import and setup

Use nearest-neighbor (point) filtering and turn mipmaps off. Each recipe lists modules in drawing order: place base modules first, then draw doors, windows and chimneys over them.

Tested in Godot 4.7.2: a fresh project built from this ZIP and its instructions alone imported every texture and assembled all 12 recipes (348 module placements) with zero errors. This is not a Godot project or a ready-made game. Unity and GameMaker have not been tested.

What this pack is not

Buildings are front-facing exteriors. There are no interiors, collision shapes, navigation data or automatic terrain rules. Ruined recipes build the base structure; the finished broken outlines are supplied as separate finished sprites.

AI disclosure

The artwork was drawn by deterministic Python code that an AI wrote, and the documentation is AI-written. No text-to-image model, third-party textures or copied artwork were used. The source is included. This pack is not marketed as handmade or No AI.
